Clinical Assistant Headed to PA School
Congratulations to Ryan Davidson, one of our clinical assistants, who was accepted into the Physician Assistant master’s program at Northeastern University in Boston. She is the latest in a long line of Orthopedic Specialists’ clinical assistants who go on to advanced careers in medicine.
Ryan, a Palm Harbor native, graduated from Palm Harbor University High School and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Notre Dame. She worked at Orthopedic Specialists for two years before getting the call from Northeastern one week ago. She starts her program on Aug. 26.
She says her time at our practice has prepared her for a PA career in many ways. “It provided a comprehensive clinical environment – very hands on,” she says. “The doctors taught me what kind of practitioner I want to be in terms of bedside manner and a high level of skill to provide to patients.”
She plans to practice here in the Palm Harbor area after completing her degree.
We at Orthopedic Specialists consider our practice a valuable training ground for future nurses, PAs, nurse practitioners (APRN), physicians, and other medical professionals. Some have returned to our practice after furthering their education, while others have found success in other parts of the country. No matter where they land, our team is extremely proud to be a springboard for tomorrow’s healthcare leaders.
We wish you all the best, Ryan, and look forward to your return to the area.
